The Importance of the After-School Period
The After-School period is a time when far too many children engage in unwanted behavior which can corrupt their morals and land them in trouble. School days, between 3pm and 6pm, are among the peak hours for teens to commit crimes, be involved in accidents as they walk home, be victims of crime, and smoke, drink and use drugs. Every day, huge numbers of children are out of school while their parents are at work and, this creates an “after-school gap”.
Hope for a New Generation’s After School Programs provide an alternative to gangs and street life, allowing kids to develop life skills and helping to nurture their social, spiritual and organizational skills.
Hope for a New Generation is a 501C3 approved organization. Your donation is tax deductible.
